Akon is under legal fire for failing to pay legal fees.

Akon has been sued for $39,000 for breach of contract by lawyers that he hired last year.

According to?TMZ, the Senegalese singer hired the firm Yoss last year, but then balked on paying $39,363.74 for legal?services. The firm is now suing him for failing to fork over the money.

In response to the lawsuit, Akon has filed a counterclaim, stating that there is no basis for the suit. He is asking the judge to dismiss the case.
