The Border Patrol is not releasing details about the incident — but we’re told Wayne has not been arrested. We’re told officials are still investigating. Officials tell us 11 other members of Wayne’s entourage are also being detained. The incident went down in the city of Falfurrias — roughly 100 miles from the Mexican border. Officials tell us a drug-sniffing K-9 unit picked up the scent outside the bus. Wayne and 11 members of his entourage are being detained at an internal B.P. checkpoint in southern Texas. We’re told Lil’ Wayne’s concert tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, TX. has been postponed. The general manager of the venue tells us they decided to cancel the show because Lil’ Wayne didn’t show and they couldn’t get in touch with him or his people. (TMZ)

Tax problems have finally caught up with Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man, who turned himself in today (October 5), to the Staten Island District Attorney on felony charges related to a back tax bill.

Method Man, born Clifford Smith, surrendered to officials at the Staten Island?s D.A. office around 8:00 am this morning (October 5).

The rapper faces felony charges for failing to pay back taxes in the amount of $32,799 dating back to 2004.

n March, Method Man?s Lincoln Navigator was repossessed when the rapper was $52,503 in debt to the IRS.

The rapper memory loss due to his penchant for smoking marijuana as the reason he did not pay his taxes.

Tax authorities say Method Man has failed to pay taxes for the past three years.

Smith(METHOD MAN) clutched an “Ultimate X-MEN graphic novel during the noon proceedings at Stapleton Criminal Court. He appeared to be holding his page with his thumb as he held the book behind his back during the arraignment. Earlier today, Smith, 38, of Arden Heights, used the book to shield his face while he was led out of the 120 Police Precinct station house, St. George. Smith faces a charge of repeated failure to file personal income and earnings tax, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison if convicted. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to pay tax. He is due back in court on Dec. 9. (Staten Island Advance)
